Since 1997 a small family business offering tailored tours to Ethiopia for
groups or individuals. Enjoy an adventure comprising history, scenery and
tribes from north right across to south Ethiopia.
Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: After you arrival we drive to the Blue Nile Gorge stopping off
to look at the ancient Portuguese Bridge and Ethio_German Park. We drive
though dramatic dropping and rising scenery as we travel through the
highlands of Ethiopia. Stay overnight at Debre Markos for transit purposes
at the best available hotel The Shebel.
Day 2: Drive to the Blue Nile Falls City of Bahir Dar for Lake Tana,
its church monasteries on islands, also we see the Blue Nile Water Falls. We
stay in basic hotel accommodation or better 4***$ hotel according to your
wishes and cost of the holiday.
Day 3: We stay the whole day in Bahir Dar doing the Blue Nile Falls,
monasteries by boat. We will see of the ancient relics and manuscripts
brought out by locals priests and nuns. We finally enjoy the evening at the
Tana Hotel overlooking Lake Tana for sunset drinks and dinner.
Day 4: We drive to Gonar from Bahir Dar. Transit day.
Day 5: We stay in historic capital of Ethiopia until the 19th century
Gondar: We view the ancient castle city of Ethiopia to see the castles ruins
and royal baths of Emperor Fasiladas from the 17 century. We view the Angels
Church of Debre Brehan Selassie.
Day 6: We fly from Gondar to Lalibela on an Ethiopian Airlines
internal flight.
Day 7: We spend the whole day visiting Lalibela's ancient 11th
century rock hewn churches with local Lalibela Guides.
Day 8: We drive fom Lalibela to the old Italianate Town of Kombulcha
in transit. It is not a touristy town, but it has a pleasant provincial feel
to it and it gives you some idea of Italy's brief occupation of Ethiopia.
Day 9: We drive from Kombulcha to Addis Ababa for overnight in the
capital, ready for our journey south the next day. The scenery is quite
picturesque returning this way with valley drops and a dramatic rise up and
down as we return to the Ethiopian Highlands.
Day 10: We drive to the south of Ethiopia for the city of Arba Minch.
It is a long day's drive. So be prepared for this long trip.
Day 11: We drive from Arba Minch to Jinka via to see the different
tribes of Ethiopia. We can see the Banna, Mursi, Tsemay or Karo Peoples and
also visit Konso with its special agricultural scenery. The Konso people
have a king who usually shows you around. When we visit the Mursi we go
through the Mago Park with savannah lands.
Day 12: Tribal visits. Jinka to Turmi
Day 13: Turmi- Omo Rate- Turmi Drive return tranist drive.
Day 14: Turmi to Arba Minch for return to Addis Ababa ready.
Day 15: Addis Ababa for international departure.
